Put In
Put In - Located at the Hickory Hills boat ramp. The put in is to the right of the boat ramps near a small dirt beach . Parking is in the area parking lot. Unload to the right of the boat ramps and then park up in the parking lot.
Distance/Time - 3 miles/2.5 hours
Difficulty - Easy
Trip Directions - Head south from the boat ramp towards Panther Creek. Both creek areas are blocked by road overpasses that only have drainage tunnels for water.
Scenery - Not much wildlife other than birds out in the shallow area feeding or roasting. Two interesting landmarks are marked on the map, an old house foundation and a primitive camp site used by kids. Lots of trash left by the campers in this area. Also, have frequent airplane noise from the small airport near by.
Hazards - Do not attempt to go in the drainage tunnels to get back into the creek watersheds.
