Put In - Put in at the Mangus house road off of Old Weaver Road at Beaverdam. Lots of folks putting in because of the warm day after so many cold ones (cabin fever).
Distance/Time - 8.5 miles/~4 hours
Difficulty - Average
Lake Level - 256 ft.
Trip Directions - Spring maybe on the way as the temperature pushed into the sixties, the water is still quite cold and dangerous, decided to stay near the shore and head north. The lake is 5 feet over full pool(251 feet). A week earlier it topped 260 feet, I wish I could have seen that, but it was to cold to paddle. Was able to make it quite far up into the flooded areas.
Scenery - Saw a beaver swimming, one turtle, geese and ducks, lots of kayakers, and a very tame eagle that let me get quite close.
Hazards - Cold water.
