Put In - Put in at the Mangus house road off of Old Weaver Road. This lets you have an easier paddle to Beaverdam Creek that feeds the lake.
Distance/Time - 5.8 miles/3 hours
Difficulty - Easy
Trip Directions - From the put in, head northtowards the Old Weaver Road bridge. It is about a 1/2 mile to the bridge. I like to go straight and paddle hard so I can come back at an easy pace. Usually the wind is against you to the bridge anyway.
Scenery - Late fall so only saw a egret or two. The water level in Falls Lake is very low, however, the Beaverdam area holds it level better because of its own dam. Found a new access road that seems to be a fire break running along the edge of the park. Let me hike to Whitt Road that branches off Old Weaver Road.
Hazards - None.
