Put In - Put in at the Mangus house road off of Old Weaver Road. This was for a full moon(one day shy) paddle. The sign says closes at dusk, so I parked outside the park boundary. Probably illegal no matter what, but I found fisherman who had walked in from the Highway 50 boat ramp that closes at the same time. So, I took the chance.
Distance/Time - 5.7 miles/3 hours
Difficulty - Easy
Trip Directions - From the put in to the dam. Hiked the Highway 50 boat ramp area and then headed back stopping at the Beaverdam swimming area and shelter.
Scenery - Really a nice night and much wildlife to see. A beaver actualy played chase of my boat, circling me and slapping the water. The water level in Falls Lake is very low, however, the Beaverdam area holds it level better because of its own dam. Scared a flock of geese in one cove and they high tailed it out over my head.
Hazards - Night conditions so played it safe near low water and such.
