Trip Directions - First warm day in many cold ones, so decided to head to Ellerbee Creek which has always been blocked by a huge amount of debris at the railroad trestle. I was hoping that Hurricane Hanna had cleared the mess out and I was right, it was still a mess but I could scoot under the bridge support structure and push through the trash. Ended up being a really nice creek once you get past the railroad trestle. Was able to make it all the way to Red Mill Road, where fallen trees finally blocked the way. The dog decided to attack a moving turtle near the shoreline and fell into the drink. I had to rescue her, but she was quite cold the rest of the trip.
Scenery - I did not get any very good pictures, a little dreary and the birds and such seemed skittish. Only captured the turtle that caused the dog to lunge into the water.
Hazards - Cold water.
