Falls Lake - Highway 50 II Trip
Put In - Located at the Highway 50 Boat Ramp on Creedmoor Road. Put in on the upper right side of the boat ramps. A nice peninsula allows for a nice put in near a lone pine tree. Parking is near this peninsula. Had to put in at the boat ramp this time as the lake is so low the peninsula is surrounded by mud.
Distance/Time - 4.8 miles/3 hours
Difficulty - Easy
Trip Directions - Head straight out from the put in and go left towards Beaverdam. Made a large loop heading north.
Scenery - Not much in December other than sea gulls. Found the Falls Lake Rangers boat ramp and hiked into their maintenance facility. They have a dump here which I was surprised to find.
Hazards - Low water currently.
