Put In - Located at the Ledge Rock boat ramp. The put in is to the right of the boat ramps. Parking is in the area parking lot. Unload to the right of the boat ramps and then park up in the parking lot.
Distance/Time - 4 miles/4 hours
Difficulty - Above Average
Trip Directions - Head north from the boat ramp towards the Old Weaver Trail bridge.
Scenery - The trip north from the boat ramp is very scenic and filled with wildlife. Once near the bridge you will enter the beginnings of Ledge Creek. This area has many nooks and crannies to explore. On the right is a natural waterway through the plant growth to a dead end. Running left you can make it to the bridge, but you have to get out and port over a beaver dam that backs the water up to and under the bridge. I was chicken to go under the bridge as the water was high. Next time maybe. Lots of blue herons and eagles. Even an eagles nest. I think if you make it under the bridge, you would have another good trek up the creek.
Hazards - Shallow water, beaver dam, plant growth in the water, all kinds of stuff.
