Put In - Put in at the Mangus house road off of Old Weaver Road at Beaverdam. It was a cold start to the morning but when it started to get warm and the grass was cut the old urge to go paddling happened so I just sneaked on up to the Beaverdam area.
Distance/Time - 5.3 miles/2 hours
Difficulty - Easy
Lake Level - 245 ft.
Trip Directions - I arrived and figured out I had no PFD, decided to go anyway and stay right next to the shore. So, the trip was like a large circle around the lower part of the lake near the dam.
Scenary - Lots of birds, many egrets, and even turtles. Fall foliage was still nice and there was no wind to speak of. A few kayakers were out also for the day who had put in at the Beaverdam boat ramp in the park.
Hazards - Cold water.
