Put In -
Put in at
the Mangus house road off of Old Weaver Road at Beaverdam. Lots of folks
putting in tonight and fishing. Decided to just leave the car near the
put-in even thought the sign says it closes at dusk.

Difficulty - Difficult because of a night paddle

Trip Directions - This was a no moon trip, so the stars were great.
Venus was really visable at the horizon. My neighbor Jere and his new boat,
third
time out with it. Headed left towards the dam and then hiked that
area. Back to Beaverdam beach area and had Jiffy Pop, kind of a
tradition. Fishing was popular at the dam, very low humidity so a very
nice paddle on a very quiet section of the lake, since no motor boats are
allowed.

Saw some beaver swimming, egrets, and people out for the evening.
