Falls Lake - Rolling View Trip
Put In - Located at the boat ramp beach area at Rolling View State Park. A nice sandy beach near an erosion control railroad tie. Parking is in the area parking lot. It is easier to use the beach than the actual boat ramp area.
Distance/Time - 2.8 miles/2 hours
Difficulty - Very Easy
Trip Directions - It was a very windy day, tried to go around the point north of the beach, but had to turn around and head south along the protected tree line. Made it to the RV Camping fishing dock. Hiked into the RV campground and ate lunch at a unused RV picnic table. At the RV campground, visited the Amphitheater were a Boy Scout from Troop 342, Raleigh installed the overhead lighting for his Eagle Project.
Scenery - Wide open part of the lake, not much to see because of the wind. Nice rock formation near the RV camping fishing dock.
