Jordan Lake - Little Beaver Creek Trip
Put In - I wanted to put in at the Ebenezer Church boat ramps, but turned into the Ebenezer Church recreational area by mistake. The road to the boat ramps was closed so I put in at the right side of the swimming beach. After paddling a bit, I saw that there is a second entrance for the boat ramps further south on SR 1008. Next trip I will use this entrance and launch from the boat ramps. The boat ramps are open 24 hours.
Distance/Time - 7.5 miles/3 hours/2.1 MPH Avg
Difficulty - Average
Trip Directions - I headed southeast towards the SR 1008 bridge, and then bear right to enter Little Beaver Creek. The larger spur to the left is Beaver Creek. Found an access road that you can hike up to SR 1008. It was still hunting season so hunters were about and I found the entrails from a fresh deer kill.
Scenery - Very scenic area for birds. Many egrets or herons, hawks, and eagles.
Hazards - None, water level was back to normal, which made a nice trip.
