Jordan Lake - Northeast Creek Trip
Put In - The Northeast Creek access is off of 751at the first bridge crossing coming from the north. It is on south/west side of the bridge, look for a gravel area. A trail leads down to a nice sandy beach. The prior trip here required at least a 100 yard walk to the put in, now a nice easy trail exists down to the lake, bypassing the pond trail.
Distance/Time - 5.6 miles/3 hours/2 MPH Avg
Above Average - based on the portage to the Put In.
Trip Directions - Headed right from the shore and went under the 751 bridge. I found the Northeast Creek but was unable to navigate due to downed trees and beaver dams. My camera battery died and my backup was also dead from being in my pack, so no pictures on this trip
Scenery - First warm day before spring, not much wildlife about. Wind was calm so that worked out well. Found a nice access trail that lead to a farm and also found an old truck cemetery with very old Dodges and Stubabakers. They seem to be moving trucks of some kind. One was marked with J.L. Lorbacher Durham Phone J-1872
Hazards - None.
