Put In - The Roberson Creek boat launch is just below the last rapids on the Haw River as it flows into Jordan Lake. To get there, drive west across the lake (toward Pittsboro) on Hwy. 64. Six miles west of Wilsonville (64 and 1008 stoplight) you'll cross the Haw River. At 0.9 mile after the Haw, turn left on SR 1944 (Dee Farrell Road). It will shortly dead end into SR 1943; turn left on SR 1943. After 3.0 mile of traveling southeast on SR 1943, look for Roberson Creek boat ramps on SR 1943.

Trip Directions - Two folks from work came on this late afternoon paddle, with the weather turning from very hot to cool and low humidity. Did the normal out Robeson Creek and then north to the three parts of the Haw River. Played in the rapids some and then paddled back. The rope swing as in full use by motor boaters.
Scenery - Very evening paddle with many birds, saw an eagle, egrets, turtles, and ducks. Lake was smooth as glass when the wind died down.
Hazards - None.
