Lake Michie II

Put In - The boathouse and launch are located on Bahama Rd off 501 N Durham. Look for the entrance after you cross the bridge on Bahama Rd. It costs 5 dollars to launch and the park closes at 6pm and 8pm come June. The Duke rowing team practices here. And bring your own water, as the well water here is terrible.
Distance/Time - 10.3 miles/4.5 hours
Difficulty - Easy
Trip Directions - I headed left from the boat ramp towards the dam. The mission was to make it to the dam. It was a long paddle, but real quiet and calm. Weather was perfect. Found the Durham Police Firing Range. Had lunch at an ATV access point on the lake.
Hazards - be careful around the dam.
