Neuse River - Dam to Capital Blvd.

• Put In - Located near the dam.  Access road is straight across from Paddle Creek, a kayaking/boating outfitter.  The City of Raleigh maintains this access.

• Take Out - Located at Capital Blvd. on the left before the bridge.  Paddle Creek maintains the rights to this access and it is best to call them at 866-1954, to inform them.  The access road is 100 yards north from the bridge on the left side.  

• Distance/Time - 3 miles/1.5 hours

• Difficulty - Average

• Trip Directions - From the put in you can go up river a bit and catch some faster moving water.  Otherwise, you head down stream.

• Scenery -  Urban area river scenery.  Can get a little bit nasty at times.  Water quality varies also.

• Hazards - Moving water, downed trees, rocks, etc.
